We take the roast just a bit further than our Guatemalan; the cup is nicely balanced with more body & less sharp than our other Central coffees; the flavor is smooth, clean and pleasant.

Our initial cuppings were impressive and remarks from our bike shop customers (complementary servings) have been very positive. The San Joaquin Estate is located above 5,000 ft which is very high for growing coffee. This well established estate has been family owned for four generations. In the 2010 Cup of Excellence this coffee came in sixth place. The taste is sweet chocolate; balanced and finishes clean. Always a standout at the cupping table.
